History of our Club

The Capital Golf Club was formed in 1972 and was incorporated in March 1978 with around 75 members. From these humble beginnings the club now boasts a strong golfing membership in association with the Tuggeranong Vikings Rugby Union & Amateur Sports Clubs. 

The clubhouse, located just off Jerrabomberra Avenue in Narabundah is only 10 minutes drive south-east from the centre of Canberra. It features three bar areas, the Spike Bar, the Lounge, and Function room. We have a number of draught beers on tap and a wide range of spirits and bottled beers.

Our club is renown for its warm friendly service and atmosphere, inviting patrons to sit back and relax while viewing the course from the Spike Bar or Function room as they enjoy a casual drink and a meal.

Our amenities are extensive and we have Happy Hours on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5 to 6pm. Friday is meat raffle night commencing around 6.00pm.

A lucky badge draw is conducted on Wednesday evenings with a minimum of $1000 cash prize commencing at 6.00pm.

There is an outdoor BBQ area that is the perfect facility for social gatherings and golfing groups to use; bookings for these areas are essential.

Our function room is available for hire at very competitive rates. The room can comfortably accommodate up to 60 people and is ideal for small gatherings. Catering can be readily arranged to meet your specific hospitality requirements. Enquires should be directed to the Secretary Manager - details below.

Our Caterers provide a variety of meals and snacks every day of the week for lunch except Monday.
Evening meals are available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. At prices around $10.00 the meals represent great value for the casual diner.

Vikings provide holiday units on the South Coast and Queansland Gold Coast available for the convenience of member's. The units at Narooma and Bermagui are close to Sapphire Coast golf courses.

For interstate golfers there are three Motels located within walking distance of the course and clubhouse.
